Recently, a new, barrier-free trail opened in Scottsdale! Camino Campana in the Scottsdale McDowell Sonoran Preserve is a lovely 0.7 mile hike that is suitable for people of all skill levels and needs. This path loops through a patch of dazzling desert at the base of Fraesfield Mountain. It is family-friendly, interactive, and beautiful!

This wide trail is meant to be stroller- and wheelchair-accessible. The trailhead features restrooms and plentiful shade, making it an extremely convenient hike.

As a bonus, the trail is marked with illustrated interpretive signs that will delight hikers of all ages. There are eleven educational stops along the trail. Each stop touches on a different aspect of the scenery, including geology, bird nests, human history, archaeology, wildlife, and plants. You can enjoy a nice hike and learn something at the same time!

While you're there, keep an eye out for an installed metal silhouette of a mountain lion stalking its prey. It looks like a real mountain lion!
